La Boucan Creative Centre receive Health Care Supplies

The La Boucan Creative Centre was recently the recipient of a range of medical and healthcare supplies presented by the New York based CaricCope Wellness Alliance.  The items presented included drawsheets, cleansing wipes, syringes, and breathing tubes.

The presentation was made at the Centre by the founder of CariCope, licensed social worker, Desiree Nicholas with support from her uncle Tommy Nicholas to La Boucan Director, Ann Peters on July 24, 2021.

During the presentation Ms. Nicholas shared her joy in working with the La Boucan Creative Centre and giving back to her home country of Grenada.  Meanwhile, Ms. Peters expressed her delight and appreciation for the items which she said will contribute greatly to the delivery of competency-based training which she provides in the area of health care.  She provided the visitors with a short tour of the facilities.

La Boucan is an NTA approved training centre for programmes such as Allied Health – Geriatric Caregiver, Allied Health – Health Care Assistant (Patient Care), Allied Health – Health Care Assistant (Orderly), and Health Care Services (Hospital Attendant) while CariCope founded just a year ago is a non-profit organisation providing mental health coaching and counselling for Caribbean people.
