Several members of the Grenada Council for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (GCTVET) headed by Chairman Stephen Jerome and accompanied by a few staff of the Grenada National Training Agency (GNTA) including Chief Executive Officer, Kingsley Lincoln Morgan visited two TVET Training Centres this past week as part of a GCTVET initiative to understand the TVET operations at the centres and the GNTA’s role in the process.


The first stop on the tour was the New Life Organisation where the ten-member team had the opportunity to witness various classes in progress and to tour the facility. Among the classes visited were Allied Health- Geriatric Care, Plumbing, Electrical Installation, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration, Masonry, Data Operations General Construction, Early Childhood, Food Preparation and Cookery and Food and Drink Service. At the end of the tour students in the Food and Beverage – Bartending, Portering and Restaurant Service (Server) classes served the guests signature mocktails in appreciation of the visit.



The next leg of the tour took the team to the Grenville Home Economic Centre where Centre Manager, Joy Nicholas explained the operations of the Centre followed by a tour of the kitchen facilities. The Centre is approved to deliver training in Food Preparation and Cookery. The GCTVET will continue with these visits periodically.
